Jennifer’s Bridal Shower – November 2011

My sister is engaged!  And I am the Matron of Honor, so I get to plan the parties!  I love it!

She and her fiance Will came to Atlanta for my Gala the end of April and are both graduates of Georgia Tech.  So while they were in town, I threw an “Engagement BBQ” at my home for about 20 of their college friends and their families!  But that was super casual and last minute… Now I get to plan the bridal shower!

I spoke with Jenn a few days ago and told her to start thinking about what she wants.  Where does she want it?  Just girls or a couples shower?  They are getting married in February so we could do a tailgate shower… So many options.  And being that she is the bride, she should choose!  They both lived out in LA for a while as well… so does she want it there?  In Dallas (where they live now)… back in Atlanta??

INVITATIONS

Depending on what she chooses, I may have to change my invite, but I am hoping to get to use this idea from www.projectwedding.com/biography/list/kohler44

The cards, envelopes and ribbon are a set of 10 by Anna Griffin. The dress stamp, bronze ink and glass rhinestones are from Michaels. I would print them and assembled them myself!

I’m not crazy about the nautical theme – but I live the type on this invite (found at bedubcidesigns.blogspot.com/2010/06/nautical-bridal-shower.html):
