Alaina & Matt’s Wedding

June 2010

It doesn’t hurt that she has super pretty friends to make this picture so great, but what a cute picture idea!  Thanks, Leah!

We went to this really cool flower place a few days before the wedding and five of us and Alaina put together her wedding flowers.  I think it is such a cool way to spend time with important people in a stress-free environment during your wedding festivities.  Plus, how cool is it that I made my best friend’s wedding bouquet?  I think that is pretty special. (And it saves a killer amount of money!)

Oh, and we made the bridesmaid flowers and the boutonnieres.  Nick was an usher, so I got to make his!

Alaina’s dad is a Lt. Col in the United States Air Force.  I love that he wore his dress blues to the wedding!  There is nothing better than a man in his dress blues!

My Wedding

July 2009

Wait until the end of the night – and get a great picture with your pups.  (We have to hide it from Jack and Sandie so they don’t get jealous.)

This is my favorite picture.  It is right before my dad and I turn to walk down the aisle.  Love you, Daddy.

I love my dress.  I tried to have one made – something I strongly do not recommend!  I bought this dress at Saks (the only thing I will buy there for a long time…) two weeks before the wedding!  Oh, and that’s my Alaina in her bridesmaid dress.  I was not one of those brides that said “Oh!  And you can wear it again!”  Nope.  It has a big ol’ bow on the back.  But I love it and my parents paid, so maybe they will have a friend throw a “Bridesmaid Dress” party and you can wear it there!

And this was my mom’s veil.  She took out the awkward headband and put a comb in.  It was so beautiful and I love that it was worn by my mom.  I am the younger sister, so I was very careful not to edit anything too much that my sister may want to use.  I hope she chooses to wear this veil.  I think its timeless and our future daughters could wear at their weddings.  That’s my silly little dream.
